18 Ohio colleges and universities received $1.3 million to help promote adoption of affordable learning materials for the 20 highest enrolled college courses. Grant activities begin Fall 2017.
The Ohio OER Grant Group kicked off their project at a large summit on October 19 held at North Central State College. Participants learned about the grant and the advantages of moving course materials to a more open and affordable format. Speakers included Liv Gjestvang (Ohio State), Dorey Diab (North Central State), Gwen Evans (OhioLINK), and Richard Sebastion of the Achieving the Dream organization, as well as representatives from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
